Maturity

Mature.

Age does not define how mature you are. Maturing is more than growing physically or aging, it also speaks to maturing in our thought process and emotional growth. I have known persons who are eighteen or twenty who are more rounded and mature than persons in their late twenties or thirties and on ward.

Sometimes society over looks these key component of the term mature, and would want to, dear I say, silence people merely because of age. I have been truly blessed to have a mixture of friends ranging from teenagers to adults. These teenagers and young adults can for sure work amongst who we term “adults”. The manner in which they express themselves and the conversation they hold will simply blow your mind. When they speak, they are in depth with their analysis, their outlook is so refreshing, so real and their ultimate conclusion is well thought out.

Do not judge anyone merely because of their age or how they look.

Some days until Christmas

Poinsettia for the season

One of the most common plants of the Christmas season is the Poinsettia. Known for its bright beautiful and bold red, this plant screams Christmas. Up until a few nights ago my knowledge of Poinsettia was very limited, but now I have a little better understanding. The Poinsettia has thought me two big lessons .

1. Wait until your season comes and while in the waiting get mature. Everyone has a season, at times for them when things are going in your favor in a remarkable way. There is also a time when you are being processed getting refined. The refining process are not always the best as in it can be hard. Especially if you keep looking around and seeing other people get what your heart desires. But don’t rush, its not your season. You are not for the summer season wait. In this period of waiting get mature. Learn to develop a resistant. Critical analyze things work you to become better.

2. When your season comes no one can stop you. The Poinsettia glows and blossom so differently as it gets to the holiday and most person are fascinated with it and it simply cannot be overlooked. Like the poinsettia, when your season comes you cannot be overlooked. You glow differently you get recognition from places and persons you did not expect. It is now your time, you are for the winter season and despite the conditions that presents itself you will thrive!

The Poinsettia never compete. They know their worth will be seen soon. Be like the a Poinsettia don’t compete or compare yourself with someone of the summer, spring, autumn or winter season. Know when its your time and rest assured you will know when your time has come too.

Second Impression

In my heart of hearts, I believe that God lines up destiny and he align moments perfectly. A while back I met a doctor and my first impression was not good, it pretty much left a bitter taste in my mouth. While everyone would voice how much of a good person this doctor was, I remain too hooked on the past to even give the doctor the time of day to redeem himself. For a short time I was very petty.

Recently, I had another impression of this doctor, after I decided to move pass the incident and try to see the “good” in him. I can firmly say I am happy I did. He is a doctor who actually listens, take advise and is extremely thorough in is job, and as a health care worker this is well appreciated.

They say first impression last and I do believe this but I also believe that second impressions are important too and can be just as lasting.

Take a second look. Second impressions are just as good.

Rainy days

Recently my country was subjected to several consective days of intense rain fall. As cliche as this may sound, I must say, for a while many of us did not think it would stop. In the space of mere weeks two hurricanes passed by my little island and although we were spared from the full effect of the hurricane, the trial it left behind was brutal. Things once taken for “granted” had now found its owe signiciant space in our hearts.

Known for its beautiful, lush vegetation and emaculate scenery, my fellow citizen and I were forced to watch as the rains pelted crops and destroyed roads as well as caused mayhem in the lives of its victims. Many news of severe flooding, lost of lives, completely destruction of roads and landslides filled the press. This was a very hard period but gradually the rain slowly stopped.

What the rain taught us

The rain opened our eyes as to how tunneled our vision had become since the start of this Covid pandemic. It had created somewhat a veil over our memory that we are in what is dubbed the hurricane season. Much like life, we sometimes allow our vision to be so narrowed by certain circumstances that may arise with the sole intention of crippling us or leaving other critical areas of our life unattented to. Which inturn does more harm than we had anticipated. So what has the rain taught us! It taught us to find balance and not to allow any one thing to hold us or our focus hostage. How to find new ways and means of coping with sudden misfortune and how to adapt our previous plans to accommodate this misfortune as well as how to be grateful for the little things life has to offer.

I do sympathize with the countries that we dealt a heavy blow and hope that there ecomony will gradually find it footing amidst hurricanes and the global pandemic.

Broken to Birth purpose

I have broken many a glass pieces in my days. At that time only saw one solution to the problem, which was to throw those broken pieces away. However a couple years ago I was searching the web when I meant up on an article about Kintsugi. This spoke about fixing broken glasses without hiding that it was broken with merely adding a camouflage; it added beautiful gold, plantnum or silver to the area making it evole into some new… A lot of things in your life may feel broken beyond repair and you are trying to fix it with people knowing. I am here to tell you that broken people are beautiful too. Those scars you wear tells how resilient and powerful you are. Those battles that were meant to break you gave purpose!!! Arise queen arise king walk into your purpose.
